Does Health Insurance Cover Pregnancy?

In the world of health insurance in the UK, normal pregnancy as a rule is not covered. However, different providers will offer certain areas related to normal pregnancy that benefit will be paid. The usual areas where benefit may well be covered are ectopic pregnancy (where the fetus is growing outside the womb), hydatidiform mole (abnormal cell growth in the womb), post partum hemorrhage (heavy bleeding in the hours and days immediately after childbirth), retained placental membrane (afterbirth left in the womb after childbirth) and miscarriage or when the fetus has died and remains with the placenta in the womb.
